Ministry By and With People with Disabilities
Voice of Care exists to equip local congregations to embrace, empower, and engage people living with disabilities.
What Motivates Us
Individuals with disabilities are too often
overlooked, dismissed, or marginalized by society.
We believe the Church can lead the way in restoring
dignity, inclusion, and belonging.
Spiritual Respite Companion Care Workshops
Spiritual Respite Companion Care is Distinctly Christian. Voice of Care leaders emphasize it is Christ-centered. We model and encourage an atmosphere of acceptance to open the door for spiritual talk, and listening without judgment, criticism, or lecturing.
Models of Ministry
-

Community Outreach Model
Ministering with compassion and consistency to individuals living in nursing homes, residential facilities, and group homes.
-

Congregational Assimilation Model
Individuals and families experiencing disability are valued, empowered, and spiritually engaged in all aspects of church life.
-

Spiritual Companion and Respite Care Model
Companion care is both inclusive ministry and caregiver respite, ensuring companions and caregivers receive what they need.
“Full inclusion of people who experience disabilities to fully participate in the life of the Body of Christ in which their God-given gifts are fully valued and respected.”
